Lincoln City 3-1 Aston Villa.

One nil down after 5 minutes to a John Carew goal, we rallied in the second half against a reasonably strong Villa team (by which I mean, I recognise the names).

Put me down for €5. I've fond memories of SV Darmstadt 98, not least shouting abuse from the moshpit at Gordon Sumner during 'Invisible sun'.

Coventry have just lost 3-1 to Romanian side FC Brasov in Switzerland. Leon Best equalised in the first half, and Eastwood and triallist Clinton Morrison played 20 minutes each.

FC Brasov will be up there chasing for the UEFA places this season, so it's not a terrible result by any means.

It looks awfully likely that Southampton will get a Celtic youth/reserve team on Friday, as they are due to play Fulham on Saturday.
