A 4-0 shellacking of the Young Tories at the weekend, followed by a 2-1 win at Dundee tonight.

That makes seven wins in eight games (plus one defeat at QotS), which unless I miss my guess is statistically the best start we've made to a season in my lifetime. Eeek!

Partick are shaping up to be title contenders, I think Dundee and Saints are destined to never win the league, along with Dunfermline

Any Hibs fans on here? I'm a bit baffled about Abdessalam Benjelloun. Ripped us apart in the CIS final couple of years ago (the only saving grace being that I stayed just round the corner from Hampden at the time so no long journey home) and has generally looked a class act in the short glimpses I've seen of him. But now he's been punted off to Charleroi and seems on his way out.

So is he one of those players who always looks more impressive to opposition fans and just frustrates Hibs fans with his inconsistancy, or does Mixu just have no time for strikers not in his own image?

I finally got a chance to see this disputed Rangers goal. As usual the furore is over nothing. Boyd was offside!

Boyd wasn't interfering with play at all, though, so the goal should have stood.

Benjelloun is dangerous when he's in the mood, but like certain other Hibs players (both present and recent past) I'd imagine he is fairly difficult to manage.

Nice to meet you too Mike. Glad to be here.

Incidentally, I've not made it to the Theatre of Pies this year due to serious cash problems. But has Fowler been shunted back to right back? I thought that idea was ancient history?

He has, presumably to make space for Pascali. He's been ok so far but he's not really been tested yet.

Thought so. We'll just have to wait and see how it works out. Looks like we're shaping up fairly well though, if Alan Russell can bang in a few goals when he's fit.

On that note, I note than Andy Barrowman is back in the SPL with Inverness. Never seemed to get much of a look-in when he was on our books, couldn't help feel somewhat frustrated when the SPL clubs started sniffing around him and we were crying out for a striker. I guess Boyd, Naisy and Nish were at the club then though.

Though that Boyd was in the box, moved towards the goal when Beasley had the ball and that Aberdeen defenders had to mark Boyd should be considered, i'd think that was interfering with play, I think that in a goalscoring situation any player in the box is interfering with play.

Although if the goal had been allowed I don't think anyone would have brought that up...so its a tough one indeed

Y'know, I can't actually bring myself to hate Killie much these days. It's twenty-odd years since the last time our supporters' buses were stoned coming away from Rugby Park, and their own support seems to have moved sharply away from their old "Huns without the bus fare" demographic.

Now Airdrie on the other hand...

I'll not be in Amsterdam but I'll certainly be watching it. Disastrously for Celtic, Maloney seems to be an injury doubt. If he plays I think they'll win. If he doesn't I think they'll lose. That's how important I think he is for them in this match.

Is there an online link to the Beasley "goal"?

The ball is lofted diagonally into the box by Mendes. Boyd is in a central position and is about a yard offside. Beasley is on the far side of the area and is well onside. The ball comes to Beasley, who controls it and scores. At no stage is Boyd anywhere near the ball. It was a bad decision -- the linesman clearly looked up, saw a blue shirt offside, and immediately flagged without waiting to see whether it affected the play or not.

I agree with Hof, Maloney and Samaras up front looks a good bet for a Celtic win,
