Word has it that the result of the 2006 Oval test between England and Pakistan is to be changed in the record books.

This does seem like an odd thing to do. Is it a concession to Pakistan because of Darrell Hair's current rehabilitation, or something else? In any case, it does seem to undermine the umpire's authority somewhat.

I think it's part of a concession to get everyone to agree to sideline Zimbabwe.

Apparently the ECB were excluded from the vote, but the PCB weren't.
