Deco moves back from the "obviously highly skilled, but only begrudingly respected because of his diving, whining, and cheating tendencies" category back to the "he can fuck right off, then" one.

I'm not saying 'bargain buy' but I thought that kind of fee would be somewhere in double figures. Bolton buy Elmander for £10m, but Deco comes in at £8m? Hmmm...

Could be. Though if it's a 3 man midfield he could fit them both in one'd think.

Deco's 'cheating' tag is founded on ignorance. There is a difference between 'diving' and 'playing for a foul'. The first invents fouls where they don't exist. The second has a player forcing the opponent to commit an actual foul, notably in key positions, e.g. on the edge of the box. Deco is a master of the second kind; it is a skill.

Deco is a brilliant player, and will shine in England.

If you genuinely believe that, you've been living in Portugal way too long.

He still has the odd interlude but Deco is a lot better than he was in his Porto days with the histrionics.

Isn't that a bit like saying that Joey Barton is less of a prick than Robert Mugabe?
