Alonso and Senna are doing a good job together - their covering is preventing the Germans even passing into their forward players, and forcing the defenders to go long.

Alonso doesn't look so good with the ball at his feet though.

Torres has been getting frustrated for a while. He'll do a "Rooney v Portugal" soon.

Easy to run around people like that when you've just concussed them.

A third sensible substitution from Aragones - what would England give for a manager who used his brain to make decisions?

Spain aren't playing all that brilliantly, but they don't have to be, as Germany seem shockingly bad tonight.

OK, he won't be going to another tournament- but hasn't he said he'll continue with R5L and MotD next term?

That's exactly the sort of chance that's going to arrive with the Germans pushing so many so far forward.

Senna looked more concerned about avoiding a Phil Babb moment than scoring.
