Brentford, AtléticoMadrid The perfect rightness of the actual Location: On the shoulder of the last defender

Inspired by the manager's thread, I wondered if OTF could draw up a comprehensive list of English (perhaps British and Irish too?) players who have played abroad since, say, 1990. There doesn't seem to be anything like the steady flow we see in reverse of European counterparts to these shores or other European countries.

Obvious ones to start with:

Paul Ince - Internazionale: 1995-1997
Paul Gascoigne - Lazio: 1992-1995
David Platt - Bari, Juve, Samp: 1991-1995
Vinny Samways - Las Palmas: 1996 - ??

Mike Marsh and Barry Venison -- Galatasaray

Two more from Souness's chamber of horrors. Marsh lasted about three weeks out there.

And of course John Aldridge at Real Sociedad, Kevin Moran at Sporting Gijon, and the great Liam Buckley at Waregem.
