Yeah, some job-related complications have meant that I haven't been able to give this much time recently.

P.S. What's wrong with Jamaica's team of the 80s?

The 17th round of matches:

OTF

Csiki Monkeys - 1927 2 - 1 (0 - 1)
Hapoel Oxford - East Village Idiots 1 - 1 (1 - 0)
Hornville - Steaua Bridge 2 - 1 (0 - 1)
Puolimatkan - Underdogs of War 0 - 1 (0 - 1)
Cardiff Dragons - Mortlake Dodgers 1 - 2 (0 - 1)
Heffron Hotspur - Green Star F-Burg 0 - 1 (0 - 0)

Csiki leaping above Heffron into 6th is the only change to the league table.

Division 1

Fancy Brigade - AFC Phoebe 0 - 4 (0 - 4)
Wildridings - Vladikavkaz Noj 1 - 1 (1 - 0)
Suffragette City - Titos Leg 2 - 1 (2 - 1)
Boys Town F.C. - Kate Bush Select XI 2 - 1 (1 - 1)
Ivor the engine x1 - U Street Gunners 1 - 2 (1 - 2)

No changes at all to division 1 positions, though Phoebe closed the gap on Fancy Brigade, in 1st.

In a sad for Cardiff and joyous for everyone else moment, Bob Blomstrand is entering his career swansong in OTF. Hornville's key old men make it for another season (sadly).

So long Bob, I'm sure the league will give you a proper sending off.

Green Star's old boys, including the perpetually injured Brazilian veteran Nelson Julinho somehow plan to keep it going for one more year.

Besides McNally on Phoebe, are there any other century players yet?

Dragons keeper Mickey Stuart will get there in a game or two. I'm a bit disappointed that legend status doesn't actually improve a players performance.

We're planning a viking funeral for Bob.

Well, Hornville won't be sorry to see him go. He well and truly had the hex over us in the early seasons.

At the other end of the scale we're in the process of selling a really good teen prospect, but who can afford to nurture a promising star of the future for 5 seasons when there are so many high skill 33 yearold crocks available for a couple of million?

My new defender Alexandr Berkatov, who cost over 5 million, has just announced he is retiring at the end of the season. Considering he's missed the last half dozen games through injury, he's not exactly been value for money.

Scouting my next opponent I couldn't help but notice how the Idiots' midfielder, Brandon Ready, amassed 24 Xpert Eleven appearances in 50 games prior to this season, yet has gone 17 games unnoticed this term. Drugs, I suspect.

Meanwhile...

Finally, we're in our Rightful Place, as we begin to return to where our Divine Right sees where we ought to be.

Could Sylkies Horizon take over Titos Leg? It's not going to change anything, and they haven't logged in for over a month

If a decision on Sylkies taking over Titos Leg can be deferred until after their next game I'd be most grateful.

Cheers for that.

I'm, unsurprisingly, the new, balding, midfield maestro at Felchester united.

Unbelievable! Hornville can only draw their 2nd v 3rd match against East Village Idiots, leaving the way clear for Green Star to . . . lose to Hapoel Oxford! So Hornville now lead by a point and play rock-bottom Underdogs of War next, while Green Star have to pick up the pieces against East Village. Meanwhile, Hapoel can still avoid the drop.

Underdogs of War 0-5 1927
Csiki Monkeys 3-3 Heffron Hotspur
East Village Idiots 1-1 Hornville
Puolimatkan 0-3 Cardiff Dragons
Steaua Bridge 1-3 Mortlake Dodgers
Hapoel Oxford 2-1 Green Star F-Burg

Drama in Div 1 too, as AFC Phoebe trip up against promotion-chasing Boys Town, leaving Fancy Brigade a point clear with a game in hand.

Ivor the engine x1 1-3 Fancy Brigade
Purple Nasties 0-1 Wildridings
Titos Leg 0-4 Vladikavkaz Noj
Boys Town F.C. 3-2 AFC Phoebe
Kate Bush Select XI 2-0 Suffragette City

Three games to go - I think it's still too much to expect Hapoel to avoid relegation, looking at the fixtures of the teams immediately above us, although our last game, against relegation rivals Puolimatkan could be vital.

Your next game is against Mortlake who, having assured their safety, will be fielding a reserve side, including a totally useless defender and a rookie keeper.
