In matches elsewhere, a somewhat stunning result. Mortlake went very offensive away from home in the friendly against the idiots. And paid for it.

East Village Idiots 6 - 1 Mortlake Dodgers

Does that wrap it up for the VIP award then?

I think we need to wait and see whether 1927 earn it in the next few games with a title, or whether Mortlake fielded a weakened side (their tactic suggested not, but what do I know?!)

I am more than happy with that result though. My 16 year old gave a 7 performance. Roll on the update!

Luther Dawson continues to quietly be one of the best players in the OTF league--leading OTF players in goals and total points.

In an ironic twist, Puolimatkan's (sp?) win against Cardiff was inspired by their own Blomstrand-like defender free kick chap - Topias Viinikka.

It looks bad, but this morning I got an email, which is always a bit exciting:

A quick note for next season:

We are slowly dwindling down to 20 teams total. This will be perfect for a two-division 10 team each league. If you have been inactivated and still want to play, let me know here or at the site. I'm going to eliminate the cup for the next season, and go to 2-league games a week. An 18 game season will be finished in 9 weeks.

noj - You are still welcome in (as is anybody new), so don't forget to re-apply.

There is still a VIP award to be bought & given, so it could be either 1927 or Idiots or Dodgers. If you have a preference, vote now either here or on the site.

What's happened to your keeper, Etienne? It just lists him as "absent". International call-up?

Two of my top players have decided to retire at the end of the season. Ungrateful wankers. Neither of them are older than 30 either. WimJonk syndrome

Horn, he decided to go on holiday with his mates rather than play our last game of the season. As the rest of the squad have been on holiday for the last 6 games, I can't say as I blame him.

Looks like we might be heading for relegation unless Matej's league reorganisation saves us.

Dragons win means they are safe from relegation and can go off on holiday. Hornville are down, subject to another league reshuffle.

At the top 1927 stay dead level with Green Star, closing the goal difference to 3. But it could have been so much better for them as Green Star trailed 1-2 against Csiki with 5 minutes left.

Puolimatkan produce their second stunning performance in consecutive weeks to thrash the Underdogs and keep their survival hopes alive.

Beachcombers, AFC Phoebe and Csiki all in trouble too.

No favors done for me really. Not looking forward to having to play 1927 for survival.

If Csiki and Phoebe draw against each other then you're safe in any event. Only one of them can pass you even if there is a result, then you'd need Puolimatkan to beat Green Star. I'd be feeling pretty confident if I were you.

Of course, the mooted league reorganisation could render everything moot.

Bugger.

Pity there aren't random drug tests. I've a feeling Puolimatkan's might've yielded interesting results.
