We are coming late to the table for the simple reason that despite the fact that the things are made in Modena, they are shockingly difficult to find in Italy.

In any event, should anyone still need them, here is our current list of duplicates:

11 Town Symbols Bern
18 Stadiums & Towns Salzburg Stadium (left half)
29 Stadiums & Towns Klagenfurt (right half)
37 Stadiums & Towns Zurich (right half)

61 Switzerland Gelson Fernandes
96 Czech Republic Jan Koller
113 Portugal Petit
117 Portugal Nani (x2)
119 Portugal Simao
128 Turkey Team photo (lower right)

It's got to the stage where I have enough swaps to almost fill a second book, if anyone wants to post up their WANTS/NEEDS list, I'll get them off to you asap.

Likewise I'll post up my own needs list later on today.

It appears that Cubillas needs three of our duplicates, so I've reserved 117, 222 and 243 for him (though there is another 117 (Nani) available).

Ursus, take a look at my list above - it's pretty much unchanged. Tell me what you need and I'll send them off to you. No need for swaps as I'm nearly done.

Jorge, I've sent off for the last 32 stickers I need but thanks for the offer anyway.

Cubillas, did I not predict a Germany-Russia final in my first PM to you before the tournament started?

Cubillas has done the old send-off-to-pannini thing so his book's finished.

Thanks for the offer Ursus but we finished last Thursday and I'm not ashamed to admit that we relied on Modena for the final fifty. Senor Porbillas' comment smacks of sour grapes methinks and is very hypocritical of a bloke who said last week that he was going to send for fifty under one name and the remaining 25 or so under another name. That is called cheating in my book of honest hombres

Now, now; we wouldn't want figurine to come between old friends.

Ursus minor and I are scheming to arrange a trip down to Modena to see their sticker museum this summer. I think his mother may not allow me to take any credit cards with me. The fact that they now send us advance notice of every Calciatori release (with coupons) has put her on to our little game . . .

Not at all - just telling the swap-shoppers that their swaps were no longer needed.

Technically I wasn't going to cheat as I'd apply for 50 in my name and the remainder in Jorge jr's name.

I am told that they sell collections going back to the 70s, as well as other stuff like posters made from "iconic" stickers and historical reprints.

I'm a bit afraid to find out, actually.

We'd be interested in these three please ursus:
161 Austria Gyorgy Garics
165 Austria Christoph Leitgeb
222 Germany Thomas Hitzlsperger

Have you sorted your needs list yet?

Ray we need these two from your list:
70, 129

Do you have a needs list?

Cool ... make sure you report back - or even use your blackberry to take orders once you get there!

Jorge, those will be on their way to you as soon as I get back from Stockholm. Pls pm me your postal address again.

Will try to get a needs list up over the weekend (ursus minor tells me he's working on it).

Will definitely report back on the museum if we make it. I can already report that quite a few full collections from 2005 and before (albums and all stickers, unmounted, are available from teh Italian website for 25-40 euro a pop). Coverage can be very spotty, however.

Two applications for one book is cheating. Full stop. Amen.

Got a pile of leftover swaps Ursus, so just le mw know your needs and we'll arrange an aid convoy from north Wales

My weekend at a seminar in Sweden yielded some additional duplicates looking for good homes, as follows:

7,11, 14, 36(x2), 60, 85, 88, 109, 151(x2), 157, 172, 188, 202(x2), 236, 249(x2), 252, 269, 288, 301, 312, 382, 400, 443, 491, 523.

Please let me know if anyone needs any of these, and they will be despatched in the next post.

Jorge, I hope to have the three you noted above out to you tomorrow, but let me know if I should add any of the above to the envelope.

Hope to have our needs list up by tomorrow.
