Nice one we are told we are the richest club in the world yet some fans have been told to find an extra 75% for season tickets in some parts of the ground.
Also they have put a gold, silver ect price tag on you're seat depending on you're view and that also goes for away fans.
Now any one who has been to Loftus Road will know that is taking the piss.
We've just had a QPR guy on the Brentford messageboard enquiring about our prices so they must be desperate. I heard 750 quid for an unrestricted view.
Still, talent like Ian Dowie has to be paid for somehow....
Should we hijack this into a general season ticket price thread?
Inter have raised ours (lower second tier at midfield, unobstructed, of course) to 380 Euro (from 350). There was some serious bitching going on when people saw the prices last week, and that was before they only drew with Siena.
"Regular fans" in Italy (and the rest of the Continent) find the prices you guys are paying in Britain to be obscene.
You should see what we pay for our petrol, our food and our electricity.
It's all so a select group of wankers can swan about in the City of London on £2m a year salaries for doing fuck all buying QPR season tickets, unaware of the social revolution that is about to leave them all hung, drawn and waiting to be quartered, at the whim of a baying crowd of ex-Labour voters from Halifax and Rochdale.
Not a one of them has ever heard of, never mind understands the lessons of, the French Revolution.
It's funny how the richest men in the world still expect those of modest means to subsidise their plaything. At least they snapped up Ian Dowie before Barcelona did.
If I were a QPR fan I'd be rather bemused by this turn of events. Depressingly many fans would welcome Adolf Hitler as owner as long as he promised to buy a few donkeys in the transfer window.
75% price increase? That's absurd. Bearing in mind how things are over here with people's finances, how long do clubs think people are willing to go on paying £25+ a game to watch decidedly average football played by less-than average players inspired by whoever the billionaire ego-maniac in charge thinks is a good manger?
I went to Germany recently and watched a Bundesliga 2 game at acost of €8.50. The football wasn't any different from a 2nd Division game here (I'm an Ipswich Town fan so I've seen plenty), it was terracing which meant a really good atmosphere and the food and beer was fantastic and not over-priced. I wonder what difference there would be in revenue for a club if you dropped the price to £10ish given that it wouls surely lead to better attendaces?

Reason: incorrect grammer
QUOTE: I wonder what difference there would be in revenue for a club if you dropped the price to £10ish given that it wouls surely lead to better attendaces?
Hmm, but in QPR's case, isn't this more about the desire of Ecclestone/Briatore/Mittal to price out the impoverished oiks and replace them with a better class of gullible fan?
Christ Finney, that's really out of order, especially for a club that relies on a decent hardcore of local support. What the bloody hell are they thinking?

It replacing the oiks once you have priced them out that is the problem, unless QPR tickets are a Veblen good.
Thing is what we are being told is that the owners are paying 10k each a season ticket.
So that shows they are putting their hands in pockets and so will we.
Well to be honest well as they are worth billions they can.
The whole thing is mental many fans are now being kicked out.
Seems at QPR we have a very rich board and now very poor fans
Forest's prices have gone up around 10%, which isn't bad when you consider we are playing in a higher league now.
For new fans, tickets vary from £374-£517.
For OAP/Under 21,18 or 12s the tickets are much reduced from that. Under-12 season ticket is only £63, no matter where they sit.
It's nice to see the club trying to bring through the next generation of fans. I'm sure there are not many clubs which offer this sort of price (less than £3 a match).
I must say I am amazed at Wigan's prices, I'm even more amazed they don't fill their ground every week.

Well, the club was non-league back in 78, remained lower league small fry till 95 and only reached the top division three seasons ago, a fan base does not appear overnight you know...
And get this all season ticket holders will face a postal charge of £4.75 for the season ticket to be sent out.
Also on the season ticket if you tick the box for cup tickets you will face a charge of £3.50 and if you pay by CC you will face a charge of £2.00.
