QUOTE: One slightly disappointing aspect of the second episode was the Barney character. He was so obviously originally written as Sophie's brother from S4 but, as the actor who plays him is now an aspiring indie star (he's the singer in Joe Lean & the Jing Jang Jong) and is presumably unavailable, they created a new, near-identical character. Still very funny though. How many other comedies could reference Ian McEwan and get away with it?
Yeah, I thought that. There was no explanation as to why Sophie's dad would be ferrying his nephew around everywhere.
