How did we lose so badly to Torpedo? That's a kick in the balls and no mistake.

Whatever Bogzilla said at half time certainly had the required effect

Green Star nacked one of our young defenders.

We nacked Isaac Bradley, but sadly only short term (no offence, like!). It is strange to feel that an away draw against Green Star is a disappointment, but given the fact they competely outplayed us I guess I should count the blessings.

Believe me, I'm as baffled as you are.

If Bradley isn't playing, my team might as well just go home. Bunch of wasters.

Hornville get to play Green Star at home, against reserve keeper Eztebe Rekagorri (skill: 5). The lucky bastards.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one who saw Bradley's injured and immediately went to check how long he'd be out for!

Just the one, but let's hope this is followed by a calamitous loss of form.

Dunno what happened with Isaac Bradley, but he came back and was man of the match as usual, although Green Star have injury/suspension problems for the return match against Hornville. Meanwhile 1927 just hold on to their unbeaten record (Dodgers' main striker injured in first five minutes), East Village look good and, at the halfway stage, the bottom three are in deep trouble.

Div 1 is wide open after a great win for Hapoel Oxford.

Mortlake Dodgers 2-2 1927
Kate Bush Select XI 0-3 East Village Idiots
Hornville 1-1 Green Star F-Burg
Heffron Hotspur 2-2 AFC Phoebe
Csiki Monkeys 2-0 Fancy Brigade
Boys Town F.C. 3-2 Cardiff Dragons

Felchester Rovers 1-0 Vladikavkaz Noj
Torpedo Compton 2-1 Suffragette City
Wharfedale Generals 0-0 Underdogs of War
Hapoel Oxford 2-0 Steaua Bridge
U Street Gunners 2-1 Ivor the engine x1

OTF is seriously tight at the top. This is going to be a big stress of a run-in. The Idiots are likely to drop points this week with Green Star visiting.

OTF
Mortlake Dodgers are having a weird season. They are top on away games, and in the relegation zone for home games, leaving them 3 points off the top and in third. Their away form brings 1927 off the top. East Village Idiots take the initiative on the turn, but have tricky games coming up. Crucial point in the season - many of the mid place teams will either become title contenders or relegation candidates in the next few games.

East Village Idiots - Kate Bush Select XI 4 - 1 (2 - 1)
AFC Phoebe - Heffron Hotspur 3 - 2 (3 - 1)
Fancy Brigade - Csiki Monkeys 1 - 2 (0 - 1)
Green Star F-Burg - Hornville 4 - 0 (2 - 0)
1927 - Mortlake Dodgers 0 - 1 (0 - 0)
Cardiff Dragons - Boys Town F.C. 0 - 0 (0 - 0)

Div 1
Top 2, Steaua & U-Street, start to pull away from the pack with wins, and now have six points on third. There are five teams within two points going for the other two promotion spots.

Ivor the engine x1 - U Street Gunners 0 - 1 (0 - 0)
Steaua Bridge - Hapoel Oxford 2 - 1 (2 - 0)
Underdogs of War - Wharfedale Generals 1 - 0 (0 - 0)
Suffragette City - Torpedo Compton 1 - 1 (0 - 0)
Vladikavkaz Noj - Felchester Rovers 0 - 0 (0 - 0)

Woot!

Incidentally, Bradley came back early because I put him in training. When you do that with an injured player, he comes back early from injury.

So anything of interest happen today?

I've a feeling that Green Star's hopes for a repeat were dashed today.

You would be wrong, Matej. Green Star join Mortlake 6 points off the pace.

And the Dragons had their second defeat in a row where they had more chances than their opponent. Perhaps I shouldn't have sold all my post-pubescent strikers.

You should take a long hard look at your Blomstrand replacement. You missed about five free kicks, earned through cynical cheating.

The Idiots were above such behaviour. Well, thought that the ref might give too many of my players yellow cards actually.
