The writing is on the wall for Hornville. A horrible set of results.

Furthermore we sit out next week's games so must watch either Phoebe or Inca increase their lead over us.

Dragons terrible form continues, not helped by a season-ending injury to Bob Blomstrand. 1927's win over the Underdogs means the title is a straight race between them and Green Star.

Title decider next week then, as the top two play each other.

Finally break my bogey hex from Beachcombers with a needed win. Teenage goalkeeping sensation Isaac Bradley scored a penalty to tie the game and then laughed in the face of the opposition keeper.

Now on to lose to 1927 next week. Tsk.

The world's most boring friendly sees Mortlake draw 0-0 at home to Oxford Nil. The game saw just two scoring chances, both to ON.

Not quite sure what that proved.

noj: You don't have to take over Racing Club. You can make your own team from scratch if you want. If you'd rather have a 'fresh' team, I will reject your application and you can re-apply and request a new team.

I can't help but feel particularly happy about that.

Is it wrong of me to feel that way about a series of numbers that represent a fictional player.

For those of us who aspire to be mediocre, that Blomstrand fellow (am I taking this too seriously, I wonder?) has been nothing short of a damned pest.

Mind you, the stats suggest he's been in sharp decline this year. I reckon by the time he's 35 I'll have bought him.

He's been brought down by having to nursemaid a series of tyro defenders after I unwisely panic sold Wesley Martindale who had captained us to two league titles.

The game of destiny tomorrow.

noj - Just try and apply again for a new team. I think it should be fine.

I have this unescapable feeling that somehow I'll manage to beat 1927 today, and still lose the league.
