The Hornville defender who made it into Xpert Eleven was a mid-season signing. He made the Xpert Eleven in all ten appearances yet couldn't prevent us finishing bottom with the worst goals against in the league.

I think this is going be a Derby-esque season for the Monkeys - avoiding relegation by virtue of having the league change, two of my best players quitting for no reason, no money, no hope. All I've got to look forward to is to try and nobble some of Phoebe's players in retaliation for the fact that he puts half my team i hospital every time we meet.

Dear me, I'm so inept.

Oxford Nil may be the richest team according to that table, but if the bids I've put in for players come off, I expect I'll soon be featuring on the Poorest Teams table (is there one?). I've had to sack a couple of players to make room in my squad for new signings, and I feel like such a bastard, but there's no room for sentiment in football.

I'm expecting (that is, praying) that Forest Hill's investment in youth will pay dividends this season as we avoid instant relegation and consolidate.
