Well, they said no, they will not merge the accounts. That's 9 bucks I'm out for FP. I guess I'll just let the account with Taco fade away by not logging into it anymore. And hopefully they won't terminate my main account now that I've informed them about this.
I guess I can create a new CB, but doubtful he'd make it on the team, right?
I don't know. Nothing in the other account's inbox. Here's what the guy wrote:
QUOTE: Unfortunately, for various reasons, we don't do account mergers for user unless they are being merged because that user had mistakenly made more than one account, which is against the rules. Sorry!
Yet I did everything as suggested in the thread about this in the Forum. There was no mention about intent in that thread--I thought this was a sort of amnesty that still sort of gave the user a slap on the wrist by taking away FP (and almost certainly giving GLB some money, unless you just have 400 FP lying around).
You could try saying that you hadn't realized it was against the rules until recently, and that you thought you would now be allowed to merge accounts after they took an FP penalty so that you didn't profit from having the extra initial FPs from the account.
Again, he's not that fast or agile, and he has probably over invested in SAs at this point given his main attributes, but, if we're not getting Taco, what do you think? If he's willing, he could move his equipment all to speed, and then work agility, then vision over the next couple of levels. Wouldn't be a terrible replacement for Sakurai.
By the way, Matej, one easy way to get Neon Leon some time on KR without sacrificing his position at CB is to throw your SPs from the next level up into stamina. Though at this point (apart from his KR SAs) he is a pretty well-rounded CB, and it may make more sense to try and find a burner, or, if we turn either Lucas Fire or David Mitchell into speedsters, having them return kicks. One final option is that I have a fairly fast/agile lvl 11 HB that I was going to retire. I could bring him on board mainly for returns.
Good luck Inca. I don't understand why they'd have rejected your request.
Either of those CB options sound fine Gyuri. I'd rather have somebody who was dedicated and boosted rather than a perfect build coming in.
HBs make good returners since they pick up a nice set of SAs. If we make him our primary returner, we could build him that direction. Is he boosted already this season? (so is he maximum, lvl 14 for next season).
I'll certainly work on Neon's stamina with the next season boost, but want to see how our team shapes up before switching his custom equipment. (Trying to hold back on buying flex points.)
I'd think plow almost everything into vision, except for the little you'll need to max agility. Then work on strength/confidence in training.
Until I see some problem with 'catching' a return, I don't think you need to bother much with that. Carrying will need to go up eventually, but not drastically. You should be set for stamina.
Eventually you'll want to put more points in the elusive tree, but probably not until levl 17 or so.
That's exactly what I was thinking. I will still need about 8 points to hit the soft cap in agility, and then will throw everything into vision (while training carrying/confidence). I'll probably swap the agility equipment to speed once agility is maxed.
I've switched Neon's equip over to cover SAs now. So, take that as meaning your guys the new return man. Shame we can't sign him now before he boosts to get a cheap daily salary. (But don't forget to boost before the off-season.)
I actually really like this idea, as a HB returner leveling up really plays to the HBs natural strengths, and with head fake and juke, he could be very good indeed.
I was under the impression from the forums that he can boost at any point prior to Day 1 of next season. Let me know if I've got it wrong, but my plan was to sign him then boost to save on the money.
Looking it up, and I think you're right. everything says you can boost in the off-season. They should announce the last day to boost in season 3.
I also fiddled with the advanced offensive AI tactics today (saved as "Matej tester"). Any of the GMs who have access, take a look and see if I'm way off base. (I've tried to make us occasionally go for it on 4th down, not play it safe inside our own 20, and began a set of scripted plays for the 1st quarter.)
