Unfortunately I can't get hold of a copy of the email, but according to a poster on one of the Oldham forums an email from Liam Daish was sent to all MFC members covering, amongst other topics, team selection. It seems that they're now polling members on whether the manager should have the ability to ignore votes taken by members on team selection, and to make his own choice. Daish comments that he has concerns on switching over to allow members to radically change team selection this close to the end of the season and with a trophy on the cards.
It'll be interesting if this change goes ahead - effectively removing one of the key selling points of the experiment, and arguably making the MFC members investors without dividends rather than active participants. Schadenfreude isn't classy, but I'm hoping this is another nail in the coffin of this particular set-up.
