And now a new alternative to myfc, myscotfc.com, A new venture North of the border has sprung up sporting a tag line "own the club, make a difference" rather than the bold "own the club, pick the team".
A project on a much smaller scale looking to succeed where myfc has failed - involving the members.

Just stumbled upon the Italian version of this here: Squadra Mia and Cisco Roma currently head the standings of which club to buy.

There should be an invitational tournament for these teams. They would include:
Keta Sandlanders (Ghanaian 3d division). Members have on-line voting for who to sign - the coach picks the team, however.
Hapoel Kiryat Shalom (Israeli sixth level). Basically the same idea as Ebbsfleet.
The original club of this design, WebFC, which played in the Ligue Basse-Normandie (french ninth level) appears to have dissolved and so cannot be invited to the tournament.

Some of it is clearly bollocks. One of them says that Ebbsfleet are losing £55k per month and that they only have £85k left in the bank. I could well believe the latter, but the idea of a club that size losing £10k per month more than their wage bill seems far-fetched to say the least.

Liam Daish said he'd rather hang on to him for this season, then let him go on a free when his contract is up. Barry Fry says that's fine with him too. He just can't understand why Ebbsfleet would be willing to sacrifice what is a huge amount of money for them.
It'll be interesting to see how the fans vote. This could cause major ructions.

I appear to have got my access back. There's some interesting stuff going on there. They're talking of starting their own club, to start at the very bottom in a geographical location to be decided by members.
