QUOTE:
Chancellor Alistair Darling has backed the Bank of England's £50bn plan to help prevent the credit crisis causing more damage to the UK banking system.

Ok, I am digressing somewhat but all these have put me in a foul mood this morning that not even "Spirit Of Radio" and "Apollo 9" coming on my I-pod can lighten

Blimey. When a man is tired of Adam Ant yelping "Yabba yabba ding ding!", he is tired of life.

I am not tired of it per se, it is just that its efforts at brightening my day have somewhat come to nought

Bit harsh on Sylv there, I think. She was kind of down at the time. Cut the lass some slack.

I'm not too keen on the word "cunt" as an insult. For some reason I think it makes the caller sound particularly petulant and smug.

I prefer "fanny". It sounds more cheerful.

There's a little temporary roadsign that the police put out by White Hart Lane that mentions they're protecting us from terrorism. I was properly tempted to put my boot through it if it wasn't for the fact I'd be packed on to guantanamo bay within hours.

You've forgotten Richard Scudamore and his hilarious attempt to somehow liken football clubs plunging themselves into shedloads of debt and those smelly French not letting English into their country because we have mortgages.

Cunt.

That was much less admonishment than I was expecting as it goes. Believe me, I am cutting her slack but it is a fucking awful metaphor even taking into account her mistreatment by her dad and/or Hughes.

Mind you,she was quite fit at times.

As you may have gathered, I wasn't that cheerful and am even less so now.

I am tremendously keen on the word "cunt" as an insult

To be honest, I thought it was a McCain quote that had really pissed me off that morning but when I Googled it, it came up as Palin

I assumed it must have been shampoo in my ears
