Udinese are very inconsistent

I hope you are right. The only inconsistency that I can spot is that they are either first or second in the Serie A. Fortunately for us we'll meet them at the last matchday at home. They might be through by then and hand us the 3 points by sending their reserveteam.

That's a great phrase. Unfortunately most Spurs fans don't cherish Spurs at the moment so its nice to know someone else does.

Spurs have Dinamo Zagreb and Spartak Moscow at home. The Udinese and Nijmegen games are away. How is this decided? I ask this question every year.

I'm pretty sure it's drawn by the computer in advance.

Ronny, they are second in Serie A but they've played two-thirds of their matches at home so far. You just need not to underestimate them and be careful about their counterattacks, but I'm sure NEC have tapes of their match in Dortmund.

Apparently, the topseed in the group always plays the lowest ranked team, NEC here, away and have the number two, Spartak, at home. This, of course, is based on supreme European campaigns from the past. Current form is neglected.

Last Sunday Ajax were without Oluguer, Eno and Gabri - 3 of their 5 decent players. Also they had a perfectly good goal by Cvitanic disallowed. Still embarrassing though I'll grant you.

Q. What's the difference between Tottenham Hotspurs and a triangle?

A. A triangle has three points.

Welcome Ronny.

Udinese are very inconsistent; it will all depend whether Jekyll or Hyde shows up on the night. Spartak have also been less than their usual selves and you know about Spurs.

I think that there is a good chance that you will advance.

Last year's Spartak won't have had much of a problem with that group but the current form is pretty shocking, plus playing after the end of the regular season... could have a bit of a shocker. Oh, well, at least I can watch Spartak away in Europe an hour from my work on a cold night in December.

Not to mention 16 million euro man Miralem Sulejmani. And Heerenveen were awarded a penalty for a foul outside the box.

Still embarrassing though.

Aren't UEFA changing the format (next season?) to groups of 4 where everyone plays everyone home and away?

I guess for more money then.

But how is that going to help smaller sides with high travel costs faced with trips to strange lands.

Many of the sides here in Turkey outside the big three and Trabzonspor find the UEFA cup to be a financial burden rather than a cash bonanza.

Football overkill me feels

If that's addressed to me, then "si". Have we met elsewhere? :)
