Hello,

Been reading WSC for years, thought I'd get all 21st century, visit the website and ended up here.

I'm a season ticket holder at Shrewsbury (stop sniggering at the back)I like to keep it real.

Look forward to speaking to you all in cyberland.

And hello and good morning to you too, Nick. I don't think there'll be much sniggering at someone holding a season ticket for a lower division team around here. And Shrewsbury...why not?

Hi there, what's the new ground like? I haven't got there yet, though I used to enjoy Oxford's trips to Gay Meadow - a scenic ground especially on a sunny day.

Hello all,

Disappointing season after last years play-off final appearance. If we don't win against Wrexham tomorrow and Mansfield win today then "gulp".

Personally I like the new ground. Great view of the opposition playing us of the pitch, good atmosphere when we have something to cheer and top notch facilities that some Championship Clubs would be happy with.

I miss the old "Medda" for it's charm and the Nags Head, but lets be honest it was a dump.

I like Shrewsbury for the following reasons:

1. What they did to Franchise last year.
2. That brilliant badge they used to have with a shrew on it.
3. That thing about them paying someone a load of money for a new badge, only to find that the designer has used a piece of clip-art for it.

1. That's my third best experience watching Salop.

2. Really?!!?

3. Don't get me started.

Welcome, Nick. Another Oxford fan here. For one awful moment I thought the STFC on your name referred to Swindon. I hope our teams will play each other again soon, as I miss going to Shrewsbury, and our supporters teams always had good games against each other.

Unfortunately, our experience of moving to a new ground was a lot less positive than yours appears to have been, so good luck to you.

Welcome, Nick. For one wonderful moment I thought the STFC on your name referred to Swindon. I'm sure our teams won't play each other again soon after Sunday. I won't miss going to Shrewsbury, as we are hassled, harried and abused by everyone from policemen to stewards to 'supporters'.

Apart from all that I look forward to your cross border banter with baited breath ;)

Relax, Jorge. You'll have plenty of other teams in greater Scouserland to play next term.

I went to the new Meadow earlier this season. Unfortunately it was the wrong day for the game.

I'm sure that Shrewsbury Town had a badge that was like an artistic rendering of a shrew in the early 1980s. If I dreamt this, of course, I will make my imagined design available to the highest bidder.

I had a foil badge of just the shrew outline in a Panini album (86/87 I think) and it looked great.
