Two agency reports - which are notoriously bland - and the BBC? Not that convincing.

TG - I never said that Bentley played a part in any goals in that Spurs v Blackburn game. I just said that he picked out Bellamy and Sinama-Pongolle all day. Though looking at my post again, I probably should have been clearer.

We can revist this at the end of the season if you wish but it won't change a thing, as this has been about assessing Bentley's time at Blackburn. What he does at Spurs is another matter, and if early signs are anything to go by, we won't be disagreeing over that.

Well, I'd characterise it more as 'a joke', really. But never mind, it wasn't a cracker.

Cracking free kick from Geovanni. Can't believe we were playing Hull a few years ago.

Just watching MOTD 2, a few points:

Why are West Ham persisting with shirt numbers on the front of the shirt? It looks really fucking stupid, just leave it blank.

John Motson said during Chelsea vs Villa: "I actually think Chelsea under Scholary are more adventurous than when Mourinho was in charge. I really do". Do you? Really??

That Motson commentary was like the longest resignation letter in history, it's embarrassing that he's anywhere near the mic anymore.

It was a beautiful free kick from Geovanni.

As well as being shit, we were definitely unlucky yesterday (I spose Hull were to with the shot that beat Gomes(h) and came back off the inside of the post.

We had a few decent chances that just wouldn't go in.

Spurs

I didn't think Spurs were that bad yesterday. There was a clearer pattern of getting the ball wide and crosses into the box. Delivery was often poor and we didn't get enough bodies in the box or have anybody coming in on the back post.

Modric prompted and probed but in the absence of any options ahead of him he wasn't that effective but at least we saw some potential.

The game went perfectly for Hull - score a great goal and then sit and soak it up. Second half they were pretty much 10 men behind the ball and we didn't have the nous to break it down either through a bit of craft or move the ball quick enough to get behind them.

I don't believe we were unlucky just the same as I don't believe you can rely on decisions from the ref. Speaking of whom, Rob Styles is a clueless bell end who has clearly never kicked a football in his life.

Ha, that Motson soundbite re Scolari and Mourinho was priceless indeed. I've always thought Motson was a cretin.

A good mate of mine who's a Spurs season ticket holder knows I like a bet and he's advised me to take any price about Spurs going down.

I'm not going to, mainly because I don't think it will happen and the price (6/1) isn't good enough to have a speculative punt.

Although he's a natural pessimist he's been saying since the Villa game they don't have any fight and they've only picked up 1 point since. So - is he right?

Watching MOTD last night and hearing Motson I almost started a thread about how fucking dreadful he is. I think he's worse without Lawro, if that is possible. He even started calling Lampard 'Frank'. Has he been hanging round with Steve McLaren?
Time for both him and Gubba to hang up the mics for the last time.
