I missed the deadline for entry (I assumed 'lines would be open until midnight' ...wrongly!) but is there a way I can view the table and jeer from the sidelines?

I can throw caltrops onto the pitch, if that helps?

mr taggart and his amazing shirt strikes gold with bystrov who came on at half time and was subbed off about 25 mins later. impressive stuff

evilc - you can look at the otf group from the website and see who has picked who and what the players have picked up points for

ad hoc in the joint lead now thanks to the schweinsteiger/lehmann combo

might be a slight oversight in the rules in that schweinsteiger is going to be suspended now and probably wont pick up any more points, which is a bit rough for those who picked him perhaps but he still made a big score today

Forgot that I entered this but I've just checked and to my surprise I'm currently joint 2nd in the overall table!

I haven't done so yet but I'll be joining the OTF group very shortly...sing when you're winning!

ok - we are about halfway through and these are the scores so far (there may be a couple of points yet to be added from the greece game but otherwise i think this is up to date)

dogbeak - score: 80
adhoc - score: 76
cjgore - score: 74
Mr Taggart and his Amazing Shirt - score: 64
gerontofiel - score: 62
lyra - score: 62
Ricardinho - score: 62
Just Jason - score: 60
PhoebeDisco - score: 54
The Liquidator - score: 54
matthewcr - score: 50
SpanglyPrincess - score: 50
A. - score: 46
Inca - score: 40
Bafflin Smoke Signals - score: 38
Egan - score: 38
Richard Awkward - score: 38
ursus arctos - score: 32
Zorg the Leveller - score: 32
rodionaut - score: 26
matej - score: 18

things to bear in mind:

swiss players are in line for a 10 point bonus if they lose their last game (and thus lose every game)

greek players are in line for a 10 point bonus if the lose their last game and another 10 point bonus if they fail to score - this would mostly benefit phoebe disco it seems.

points scored in the knockout stages are multiplied by 1.5 so there is still plenty of scope for people to come from within the pack to win, especially as games are likely to get more fractious as the stakes get higher

and ursus may well regret picking david villa. minus 30 points if he finishes as top goalscorer

Any chance of an update of this before the final (or even the second semi)?

Have there been any notable perfomances so far? You know - someone's team getting 20,000 pts in one game or someone's getting none at all - that sort of thing?

it all went a little quiet, mostly thanks to the general lack of cards and indisclipline.

probably between jason and dogbeak now unless the final is full of incident. remember there's a points penalty for one of your players winning the whole thing so the result of the final may well decide the whole thing.

top of the standings (and any remaining players).

Just Jason - score: 152
Carles Puyol (4)

dogbeak - score: 151
Jens Lehmann (20)

adhoc - score: 132
Jens Lehmann (20)
Bastian Schweinsteiger (20)

cjgore - score: 130
Jens Lehmann (20)
Bastian Schweinsteiger (20)

Mr Taggart and his Amazing Shirt - score: 130

Bafflin Smoke Signals - score: 123
Jens Lehmann (20)
Andres Iniesta (30)
Xavi Hernandez (14)

SpanglyPrincess - score: 122
Jens Lehmann (20)
Xabi Alonso (4)

Richard Awkward - score: 121

PhoebeDisco - score: 120

gerontofiel - score: 116
