A startling Croatian statistic I heard on Eurosport a few weeks ago was that Eduardo had 10 shots on target for Croatia during qualification.

Every single one went in.

That could be a worrying statistic for us adopted Croatians (indeed, like Eduardo himself)

...and I'm very glad of that.

I'm still only a dabbler in football, relatively-speaking and it was dirty play by our own players (particularly the play-acting) that put me off watching it, 'back in the day'. However, I'm slowly getting hooked and I'm glad to see that all the various shitty elements of the game gradually seem to be disappearing.

Now, if only our players could get over this habit of 'not-qualifying' that they've got.
