This is now his third comeback from international retirement to appear in a tournament finals. He's still playing regular first team football back in Sweden, but this is an aging squad, and furthermore, it seems that Larsson will be first choice if Sweden play 4-4-2.
Last month, Autstrian coach Josef Hickersberger picked a 31-man training squad. Here they are, with clubs, caps, and, if any, goals.

Romania have also announced their preliminary squad, in two parts; their domestic based players have gone to Turkey for pre-tournament training, their foreign based squad members should join them on completion of their season. www.frf.ro
QUOTE: oooh 46 goals between them. 8 goals by the forwards. This looks like a quality squad.
Take into account that twelve of those have come from Ivica Vastic, veteran of the last Austrian side to qualify for a major finals tournament in 1998. Nearly 39 now, he hasn't played international football since the summer of 2005.
They will almost certainly have to rely on Andreas Ivanschitz, apparently labelled the Austrian David Beckham, who has been on loan with Panathinaikos for a couple of seasons.
Austria are crap, likely the worst side ever to participate in the final stages of this tournament. And yet they somehow built a 3-0 lead against the Oranje a month ago, which is one of the many things that worries those of us who support Holland.
And serious thanks to Rowdy for all of the work he/she is putting in here.
