Very readable skewering of the music industry, though it's been out a few years now. It takes some doing to satirize devious cynicism in a way that's funny, but without making you hate the characters too. Anyone else read it? Any other good example of music fiction? I think I read an Iain Banks novel years ago about some bloke in a heavy metal band, but the fact I can't recall the title reflects how forgettable it was.

Cardiff City & Wales I've always thought Forest Whitaker would do well. As I get older I am returning to the Custard Cream 3 Bits of Fry & Laurie - The Complete Scripts Jaded Axe Attack Location: East Molesey - it's paradise Birthdate: 1968-12-11

I have had 'Kill Your Friends' recommended to me but not got round to getting it yet.

Was the Banks one 'Espedair Street'? Some way below his best, that one.

That was the one - very much of the 'churned out' genre.
