Given that I couldn't be arsed to care when I was there . . .

I'm always a bit troubled when Harvard football is doing (relatively) well. It makes me wonder what the admissions people are doing.

It comes and goes. The only one of those schools that seems to consistently give a shit about football is Penn.

Still, as I-AA (I refuse to call it the FCS) conferences go, the CAA is where it's at!

What a horrible way to lose for Washington and QB Jake Locker. He leads his team on a 80-yard TD drive with less than 2 minutes to go to make it 27-28 with the extra point to tie it against BYU. Then the cuntrag ref calls "excessive celebration" because he flipped it in the air, and you have to hand it to a ref or leave it on the ground. They make it a 35-yard PAT, which they miss. Lame-ass motherfuckers. Fuck the NCAA.

Great game with Wake Forest and Ole Miss. 6 lead changes, great TD to take the lead from Ole Miss, and great drive to get the winning field goal from Wake.

Hmmmm.
Cal 66 Washington State 3.
Goin' to be a long season in Pullman, methinks.

Less than impressive results for Ohio State and Michigan, too.

Trivia time: Ohio State recorded its 800th win this past weekend. Four other schools have more than 800 wins--who are they?

I enjoyed the weekend. I went to the Oregon State-Penn State game. It was supposed to be close. It wasn't. PSU 45-OSU 14. And, to our surprise, it didn't rain on the game at all. The tickets I got were literally in the North Endzone, almost at ground level. It's hard to follow what's going on sometimes from that vantage, but I had a great view of some of the touchdowns. I could look right into Evan Royster's eyes as he scored.

Oregon State brought a lot more fans than I would have expected given how far away Corvallis is and their team's stature in college football.

ND and Michigan yes, not Alabama though. That was one school I figured would be in there--they must be close, though.

Notre Dame, Michigan, Texas, all correct (and incidentally, in order of most number of wins).

One more to go.

Hint: used to be a powerhouse, not so much recently.

Belated congrats on the Tennessee win Inca. UCLA is going to be good again with Chow.

Reed, OSU has a history of starting slow, they always seem to get a lot better by midseason (usually right around the time we play them...)

Holy crap, a 66 to 3 conference road win by the Golden Bears... Our OL looked amazing, we had 3 long TD runs where the backs crossed the LOS untouched. It's still a bit early, but we could be in the thick of it this season.

Looking forward to coming down for the Maryland game! This is going to be the furthest I've ever driven for a game (about 11 hours!)

Nebraska, probably. They used to always win 10 games a year even when they weren't at their best.

Correct, Reed.

And whoops, I was wrong about the order: Michigan (870), Notre Dame (825), Texas (822) and Nebraska (819).
