I'm not sure anyone will be taking taste queues from Fartle.

That's quite a straight Porthcawl accent really.

That's a lovely clip isn't it? Her and Corden's relationship reminds me a bit of Fry & Laurie talking about each other on 'Comedy Connections' which I rewatched the other night.

Corden's turning in to a bit of a hero of mine since the NME Awards actually.

I never knew Porthcawl was so classy. I've got a friend from Brecon who talks a bit like that, and I always call her 'Posh Welsh'.

Ruth Jones looks good for 41. I thought she was seven or eight years younger.

Oh Porthcawl is indeed posh, as is Brecon.

Parts of Porthcawl are relatively posh I suppose, specifically the villages of Newton & Nottage that the seaside part of the town grew to link. It's only relative to the surrounding areas, of course. I have always thought of Bournemouth as England's Porthcawl.

Crusoe, he was a very witty co-host with the actor who plays Gavin in the show.

When I was in sixth form in a Port Talbot comp we had 9 girls from a convent school in Porthcawl parachuted in, because they didn't have a sixth form.
It was one of the happiest days of my life, unfortunately they were all from Porthcawl and they would never give Valley scum like me the time of day. As a result I've always viewed Porthcawl as some sort of gated community where turrets and towers are the order of the day.

Port Talbot doesn't count as the Valleys, surely?

No it's not, but I'm not from Port Talbot. I just went to school there. We were bused in from the valleys.

I just got in to this, and it's fucking great. Proper laugh out loud funny at times, which is strange as the humour isn't that obvious. The oven glove thing in particular was hilarious.

I'm a bit puzzled by the BBC I player program. I watched what I assume was tonight's episode* at 4.30 today- Barry v Billericay was rather better than Cardiff- Barnsley. If so, why are they networking it before screening?

* Gwen features heavily, without giving too much away.

Tonight's is the line-dancing one (and very good it is too - featuring the best random sing-song of the series so far). If it's on iPlayer already I guess that's a mistake.

*SPOILER ALERT*

So, last night's (barn dance) episode was bloody great. Mainly because of Bryn's increasing tetchiness leading up to the Big Reveal (growling at that guy on the doorstep to bugger off, barking at Gwen when she tries to answer the phone), and his terrifyingly hyperactive "Surprise!!! Surprise!!! SURPRISE!!!" greeting.

I like how we're getting creeping hints that Bryn is gay (a bit like the guy from Mitchell & Webb in The Smoking Room). First the gymnasium thing and the homoerotic bonding with Smiffy, then the Brokeback Mountain speech, and last night the thing about Enrique Iglesias. (And we still don't know what happened on that fishing trip...)
