I've just re-watched Ed Wood, and was gobsmacked when I noticed the Sarah Jessica Parker character reading a newspaper review and saying "Do I really look like a horse?". I can't believe Tim Burton got her to say that. What a guy.
Any other examples? The thing is, it's no fun when the butt of the joke is complicit in it, and publicly being a 'good sport' (a la Extras). Which is, I admit, a possibility with SJP in Ed Wood.
But are there any great examples of this sort of thing when the victim most probably isn't in on the joke?
