Christ, they were good.

Which having done a youtube sweep of their contemporaries made them pretty much unique in 1991.

Whenever I see Billie Piper, I can't help but think of this lady:

...and thus I initially assumed that this was going to be what this thread was about.

But no - a different kind of 'Horror Head'.

Curve were great - one of my favourite bands to this day. The sound quality on a lot of the early songs could do with some re-engineering though.

Doppelganger - what a CD.

Yeah, I kept on buying stuff by them, hoping that they would be a bit more varied, but they never were. Shame, really ...and a shame they couldn't get on with each other, too. Fantastic guitar sounds, above all - almost like a latterday Banshees, somehow.

I'm sure I had a Curve single, however having checked their discography, while I recognise some of the songs (my flatmate at University was a fan) I can't seem to find the one I thought I had. I'm sure it was called something like Dark Entries (I know, that's a Bauhaus song, but it was like that) and the chorus ended with "all the way"
Any ideas? (Feeble I know, but I took a lot of drugs while I was at Salford. I could have imagined the whole thing.)

Isn't Billie Piper the evil one of the twins?

One other thing. The MTV show 120 minutes. Back at the start of the 90's that show and Headbanger's Ball were must sees. Pity MTV has gone to shit though. MTV2 doesn't feel right, somehow.

Although as always when Curve are mentioned, I have to say that Original, the track Toni Halliday sang with Leftfield, is outstanding. Curve could have done with a bit more of that kind of inspiration.
