Anyone heard this? It's the latest album from Gregg Gillis, who doesn't like to be called a mashup DJ, but is exactly that.

The tracklist gives you a good idea of what to expect.

It's mostly hip-hop, but with a heck of a lot of different pop music thrown in.

It's really good fun, even if you know the novelty will wear off quite quickly (and the sheer volume of stuff going on can be almost too much at times). You'd certainly have a good night out with this guy DJing.

The best bits, though, are the odd moments where you get something like Lil Wayne over Nothing Compares 2 U, or OutKast over Journey's Faithfully. It's a very clever way of making the rapping sound a bit more fragile, and it's worth checking out just for these little bits of brilliance.

Pfft. It's just a ripoff of Jive Bunny, with a bunch of words over it.

Allow me to de-rail my own thread by pointing out that there's actually a Jive Bunny album out this summer:

To think that everyone who died for rock'n'roll died for this arsewipe to come along, play with them on his laptop and spit them out into some generic party-mix which he believes is just as original as The Beatles?

IS THIS WHAT IT'S ALL COME TO?

Ha ha!

As a way of showing everyone exactly how easy this caper is, I commissioned a mash up that utilizes no less than 50 tracks recently.

It pisses all over Girltalk (who is shit). It'll go live in an hour on The Quietus.

There's a prize for anyone who gets all 50.
