He was also in Skrewdriver as well wasn't he?

Anyway, watching the Glastonbury coverage with a few mates last night made me realise what appalling musical taste most people around me have these days. Everyone there thought they Enemy were 'decent' and not the shower of shite they obviously are, and that The Kills were ok. Just when Jimmy Cliff was coming on one of my friends turned it over, and we had the volume turned down on the one half-decent band Kings of Leon.

Nearly everyone I know in their thirties (there are some honourable esceptions) listens to Radio's 1 and 2 and seem to actually enjoy it. Christ.

I assure you I'm not confusing Radcliffe with Goodier.

Discussed on OTF at the time.

I know nobody can believe that Mark Radcliffe could be a scab because he talks in a northern accent and he used to be in The Fall, but things don't always cleave so conveniently.

Ah, but you did confuse Radcliffe with Riley (Lard) on being in the Fall.

Not that I don't think you didn't know that already, but just for clarification.

It's a fair cop.

A middle-aged gent stopped me in town last night asking where's good to hang out in Manchester. He mentioned he liked The Fall and a friend of mine pooh-poohed said band a little based on a distant acquaintance of ours whose brother's cousin's hairdresser's best mate (etc.) had played bass for The Fall.

I jokingly said "yeah, but every fucker in Manchester has been in The Fall at some point, you have, I have this guy has" - turned out the guy had been in The Fall, something he gave a long, dull and convincing account of.

That's all.

Did anyone watch Amy Winehouse? It started off okish, but she left the stage toward the end, and marched down, well staggered down to the crowd, any quality she may have been able to achieve on the safety of the stage was lost. Her "performance" of "Rehab" was one of the most depressing things I think I've ever, ever seen.

Oh, and I don't care, I thought Crowded House were excellent.

come on playing wonderwall

not being a fan of his, is 'back in black' always part of '99 problems'

I saw amy w, whilst she was a long way from reality she seemed more together than the car crash stories being circulated recently
