Bon Jovi was the answer I was about to give. And I'm pretty sure that they have indeed never had a number one (without checking, I don't think Livin' on a Prayer got there, and even if Blaze of Glory got there - which I don't think it did, if we're talking UK charts - that was a Jon Bon Jovi solo effort rather than Bon Jovi the band).
