I loved those cases in law school.

They are generally about the forfeiture or seizure of property linked to some nefarious activity.

You get absolutely surreal case names like "United States of America vs. $124,000".

And the appeals can be even better, like "One 1958 Plymouth Sedan vs. Pennsyvlania".

I've worked on a few of these, arctus. My favourite was 'City of _____ vs One VW Bus number ______, two beagle dogs, one male one female answering to the names "Sid" and Nancy"...'
