Very big waste disposal unit. Nice derelict power station. Dogs home. Nice park, and some of the places around it. Queenstown Road feels like a ghosttown at 10pm in winter mind.

What part of Battersea are you looking at? That part of town can expand or contract depending on who you ask.

Sounds ideal.

Well mercifully, it is on the correct side of the river, for starters. It has Britian's busiest railway station and London's busiest heliport. So, you know, that's good, isn't it?

Have a look round, see if you like it. It's fine, and reasonably well-connected.

I doubt it. But then I barely call home, let alone write letters.

I worked in a pub called the 'Dog and Duck' on Battersea Rise. Nice clientele. Nearer to Clapham Junction, but I liked it a lot.

Battersea High Street is a lovely by way - the most un-high streety-high street I ever did see. Two nice boozers too.

Fair bit of Battersea (at least the affordable parts) is a rough shithole.

Lovely park, landscaped with dug out earth from one of the docks (Royal Docks, I think).

It's Dogs And Cats Home now. It's had cats for ages but only just put them in the name. Alice came from there.

This is the posh part of Battersea. Apparently this gaff counts Orlando Bloom and Greg Rusedski as regulars.
