TonTon and hobbes are both sailing on the good ship wrongness, today. But then, and correct me if I'm mistaken, TT has already hoisted his wrongness flag by being against syrup on sausages and bacon.

Hoist me a flag on that lanyard too. Syrup on meat is the most revolting, unpalatable and downright wrongest idea since Mr and Mrs Sumner decided to see the new year 1951 in by making the beast with 2 backs, their unpleasant trist having the unfortunate result of a cunt with a penchant for black and yellow jumpers and bark.

Or even worse, the last post on a page divisible by ten...

.

Eggchaser's dad has it nailed. It takes a modicum of planning, but steam some spuds the night before - perhaps with a little grilled or baked salmon. Steam far too many. Stick them in the fridge. Cube and fry them in a little olive oil on the morrow with salt and pepper to taste.

And you're sautéd.

Parboil, drain water, drop large knob of butter, give a good shake regularly so that the spuds skin is browned but not burned. Top notch.

Do you lot ever get anything else done, or do you actually spend all your time cooking, as a casual read of most threads would suggest?
