Just put my usual £20 on Liverpool to win the league, at odds of 15/2 (William Hill). Waste of fucking time, I know, cos we feel further away if anything... but Spain came up with the goods so maybe it's the turn of another bunch of relative underachievers in red shirts and Fernando Torres up front.

At the other end of the scale I'll be putting money on Colchester to pull off a successive relegation taking int account the new stadium and the fact that they are shite

Good shout, SR, it's time to study the form.

As a taster I have placed my normal £2 on Spurs to win the Premiership (slate does not include Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal). 5-2, and more tears before bedtime in April.

Gillingham to get relegated? They currently have Drewe Broughton on trial, a man who in the past three seasons has played for Rushden, Boston and Wrexham...

Steal of the season is: A team who have lost their manager in the close season, have their best players wanting to leave, their new manager has never managed as such a high level and is well known for having a shit attitude. On top of that, their backer has pulled out, and their attendances are too low to sustain their current outgoings, and no new signings are on the horizon. They are 12/1 to get relegated - Blackburn Rovers come on down.

At the moment, the other good value is:

Everton are 4/1 with Betfair to be top without the big 4.
Ipswich are 18/1 to be champions and 9/2 to be promoted, which given they have a billionaire backer and have spent over £5m already this year with more to come is suprising.
Southampton relegated from the Championship 3/1.
Walsall relegated from League One 11/5
Bradford 17/2 to be League Two champions and 6/4 to be promoted
Chester 6/5 and Dagenham 5/2 to be relegated
Wrexham 8/1 to be Blue Square champions
Whatever price Oxford are to be relegated must be high - I'm guessing at least 20-1/33-1
AFC Telford 6/1 to win Conference North
Braintree 12/1 to win Conference South

Oxford to be relegated? You'll get better odds on Altrincham to be promoted, which is more likely. We've gone all optimistic again over here.

Have things changed? Last I heard, you had 13 players, and there where whispers about administration.
