Does Harry have a list somewhere of "Ten Ways to Provoke Leeds Fans" that he's working through?

I'm looking forward to the interview where he expresses his delight at joining his childhood favourites and says that, even when he visited the Ali Sami Yen Stadium back in 2000, he knew one day he'd be striding out to play for the best fans in the world.

The move to Galatasaray has ended any possibility of Kewell being one of Australia's three over-age players at the Beijing Olympics.

Eh? Are Galatasaray players banned from the Olympics, or something?

To be fair, that's a bit like shooting fish in a barrel.

Ah, number 8.

Maybe I should have gone for "Ten Ways to Rub Leeds Fans Noses In It"?

Is it just that even by Kewell's standards, buggering off for a month at the start of a new signing, is pushing it somewhat?

Well, he might as well go missing as soon as he's started, rather than wait for a few months like everywhere else...

I should be stunned that he would even contemplate it, but somehow, I am simply not...

Supposedly, Bernie Mandic is denying that a deal has been done, though it is all over Galatasaray's official website.

Been confirmed and Kewell is delighted. There are many things about this that make me, and otehrs, feel outraged and physically sick. I honestly thought that I had bottomed out on my hatred for some ex: Leeds players, this has taken things to a different and lower level. I know that I shouldn't feel like this and I know he is just a player desparatly trying to earn a crust as, well you know how hard it is for these footballers to survive nowadaze, but fuck me, what a cunt this man really is...

I am sure many outside Leeds agree with you EIM. Am afraid many of us are far too close to it to agree...

Good attempt at re:writing history here by him too:
http://www.mailonsunday.co.uk/sport/football/article-1032234/Kewell-defends-Galatasaray-deal-Its-time-tells-Leeds-fans.html?ITO=1490

"His move to the club has attracted criticism from Leeds supporters, but Kewell is hoping the negative press will be shortlived.

'It was a tragic thing what happened but we can't live in the past,' he continued.

'We've got to look to the future and that's what I'm concentrating on.

'I gave a good nine years to Leeds and left on good terms, there shouldn't be any bad feeling.'"

Left on good terms my arse! A book could be written on the way the farce over his move to Liverpool which showed ineptness by the then chairman and the lengths Kewell and his agent went to fuck the club over on his departure...

A decent summerisation here:

There's a lot to hate Kewell for, but this really isn't any of it. Neither Galatasaray itself, its players, its employees, or any of its official representatives, nor the overwhelming majority of its fans, have ever murdered anybody from Leeds.

Battylad, what is wrong with Galatasaray, as a club? Just wanting to know like, as I didn't follow the murder case too closely.
