Mexican kits are amazing - when Morelia played at DC last year they had seven different sponsors' names on various parts of their kit, including their socks. I was sitting next to their press bloke, and he said that was pretty standard for Mexican teams. Gives a very 'busy' effect.

Finney: Have you seen the away shirt yet?

Oh dear. Have the children been exiled to the French Foreign Legion?

In other news, Kappa have found a taker for some extra Roma shirts they had lying around the warehouse:

The new Werder Bremen "chili" (seriously) third shirt.

Harry's excitement will be building daily. With just four weeks to go til the league season starts, Cardiff City have yet to even announce a launch date for next season's kit, never mind actually releasing some pictures. This despite the design being voted for by the fans about six months ago.

Any other teams left who haven't shown their hand yet?

Apparently however, we have told the football league that our away strip will be "mulberry" coloured.

Which is a bit different I suppose.

Cardiff City & Wales I've always thought Forest Whitaker would do well. As I get older I am returning to the Custard Cream 3 Bits of Fry & Laurie - The Complete Scripts Jaded Axe Attack Location: East Molesey - it's paradise Birthdate: 1968-12-11

The "mulberry" news was covered on the alternative and to my mind superior other kit thread.

I am going to have to curate an official New Kit Gallery every season as I'm unhappy with the lack of traffic on either of the current ones in relation to the definitive one in the old place.

I have zero hope for this year's kit, give what we already know of it and the shambles the rest of the summer has been at Cardiff's Stade de Farce.

I specifically chose this thread for the Bremen news because it is difficult for me to conceive of a better illustration of the sentiment expressed in its title.

I think it's the title of this thread I have the most problem with, who has ever said "What a rip"?

I think I did as a child (an abbreviation, if this needs to be pointed out, of the obviously-far-too-long "what a rip-off"). But, y'know, not for thirty-odd years.

I've heard it from more than one American, and may even have uttered the phrase myself.

They are still keeping the new Leeds shirt under wraps, but this has leaked out so far - not much to go on mind...

New Villa home shirt a size too big:

away:

which reminds me of a kit we wore with LDV sponsor in 1998..

not bad i suppose, could be worse, the sponsor logo is plain and too the point (and more importantly, a good cause).

I think they are quite good, though the similarity in the blue used in the two kits is a bit strange. My only significant quibble is Nike's continuing inability to understand that sleeves are sleeves, and not some sleeve/shoulder combo. You still made out much better than Arsenal in that respect, though.
