My dad still has one of these in his wardrobe.

Not the worst shirt ever, but I'd like to ask some of the adidas worshippers what your man Dassler was thinking.

Gak. I've never seen that. The Tucson Toros had a predominantly orange colour scheme (as you can tell from his cap and trousers); no clue what they were thinking with the jersey.

That said, if we are talking baseball, the opening bid is usually this Chicago White Sox "classic":

And yes, Pan Tau, that is Jomo Sono's shirt; the Caribous only lasted a year and I'm not even sure he stayed for the entire season.

Hahaha, Cavalry - that pink'un's a serious contender ... and the sponsor being a brand of mops doesn't help matters.

This one is a rugby shirt... but it would have been a contender...

The cherry on the cake with the Carabous shirt is that, judging from the first picture, the lower half is flesh-coloured, creating the impression that the shirt barely even covers the wearer's nipples.

In that respect it's a bit like ballroom dancing and ice skating costumes, where the areas of 'bare' flesh are in fact covered by translucent nylon.

Oh, that flower one is a serious contender.

I actually like the orange and sky-blue jersey (is it OM?). Two of my favourite colours in one jersey...I'd actually wear that.

There are a number of people on here who have defended the Stade Francais lillies in the past (as well as the pink and khaki versions). And none of them is German.

Mumpo's observation about the Caribou shirt is spot on. It predated the figure skating trend by about 20 years, but had pretty much the same effect (less so on Jomo Somo, of course).

Yes, PanTau, it is Olympique Marseille.

I never knew that Jackson Pollack was an Arab.

The Rugby shirt, how refreshing! so far away from the stereotypes, psychologically strong as well, it must surely put the opposition off.

Must be something about the state of Colorado - in addition to the eye-popping Caribou jersey already featured, the Denver Broncos played their first season in what is generally regarded as the worst kits in gridiron history:

And yes, those are brown and yellow vertically striped socks.

And it's at this point in any bad kits thread when I throw down my handful of aces better known as "dreadful Scotland kits of the last 20 years or so":
