For obscure names how about El Salvador's Luis Angel Firpo, named after the Argentinian boxer from the 1920's and 30's?

Gil Vicente (Portuguese 2nd division) was a poet and playwright.

After that the best I can do is that the stadium in which Colombian clubs America de Cali and Deportivo de Cali play is called Estadio Olimpico Pascual Guerrero who was apparently a poet (though so minor that he doesn't even have a wikipedia page)

Doesn't the 'u' sound depend on you being a man or a woman?

... well, no.

Back to Red Star, they must be the only team in the world whose name gets systematically translated into every language, so not only are they Red Star in English but Estrella Roja in Spanish, Estrela Vermelha in Portuguese, Étoile Rouge in French and so on.

Weird, that.

And on the poet theme, Real Valladolid play at the José Zorrilla stadium, named after poet and playwright José Zorrilla, the creator of Don Juan.

Well, sort of. Their old stadium was named after the street it was located on, Paseo de Zorrilla. So when they moved to a new stadium in the outskirts of town in 1982 they named the stadium Nuevo Estadio José Zorrilla.

I've mentioned them on here before, but ambitious fourth-tier Japanese side MIE Rampole take their name in part from author Rampo Edogawa, who wrote a bunch of mystery stories set in the local area.
